Guide to diagnosing and fixing common problems.

In this guide, you'll find solutions to the most frequent problems users encounter with Racing View, along with steps on how to identify each issue clearly.

Common Issues

  • Devices on Separate Networks: Your console or PC and the device running Racing View must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

  • Mobile Data Active: Your device may be using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi, causing connection issues.

  • VPN Active: A VPN activated on your device could interfere with the connection between Racing View and your game.

  • Port Conflict: The UDP port you're using might be occupied by another device or application, blocking the data flow.

Typical Solutions

Connect to the Same Network
  • Ensure your device and console/PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  • Verify by comparing IP addresses. If IP addresses differ significantly (e.g., one starts with "192.168.1" and the other does not), your devices are likely on separate networks.

Disable VPN or Mobile Data
  • Turn off any VPN services active on your device.

  • Disable mobile data and ensure your device relies solely on Wi-Fi.

Change the UDP Port

Try using a different UDP port in both the Racing View app and the game's settings if you encounter a conflict.

Restart the Game and App

If none of the above solutions work, restarting both the game and Racing View app often resolves the issue.

Technical Note

The telemetry data from the game is transmitted via the UDP protocol, which requires a stable and consistent Wi-Fi connection to function properly.
